How we handle your information
Purposes, consent, access, retention, and your rights — in plain terms.
What we collect
We collect information in ranges and categories, not exact figures or documents — for example, an investment band rather than an account balance, an age band rather than a date of birth. Callback and contact-form fields (name, email, phone, preferred contact method) are stored so we can respond. Preliminary assessment answers are session-only by default and are not stored unless you request a callback and consent to that.
Why we collect it
To compare your situation against maintained public program criteria, to respond to callback and contact requests, and to prepare for an introductory conversation if you engage our services. We do not use this information for automated credit, immigration, or investment decisions.
Who may access it
Access is role-based and restricted to authorized Avenir staff and administrators, protected by multi-factor authentication. Assigned case information is visible only to the team member handling that case. Partner organizations do not receive automatic access to your information — any transfer is manual and based on your explicit, informed consent.
Cross-border access
Where information may be accessed from outside Canada (for example, by a Nigerian partner supporting local scheduling), we limit that access to what is necessary for the specific purpose, and it requires your consent and appropriate safeguards. Cross-border access does not include automated immigration advice or unrestricted case data.
Retention
Preliminary assessment answers are session-only and are not retained after you close the page, unless you request a callback and consent to a stated retention purpose. Callback and contact-form submissions are retained only as needed to respond and for agreed follow-up. We do not use analytics tools that capture form answers, sensitive fields, or secure page URLs.
Your rights
You can request to view your consent history, correct information you've provided, or request deletion of your data at any time. Marketing consent is always separate and optional — you are never required to accept marketing communications to receive an assessment result or a response to a callback request.
Privacy contact
Questions about how your information is handled can be sent through our Contact page. We aim to respond to privacy requests promptly.
